How can I register for a CNA Class at CNA Arizona?

Follow these steps to enroll:

1. Fill out an Enrollment Form on our website (this can be found by clicking on Enrollment Form on the menu bar above)

2. Make a $100 deposit on the Tuition, Cost and Fees webpage (this can be made through Paypal with a credit/debit card). This deposit is part of the total cost of the program.

3. You will then receive an email confirmation from Paypal that your payment was processed. You will also receive an email confirming your registration in the class for which you registered CNA Arizona.

 

How do I know what the dates and hours are for the classes?

You will receive an email detailing the schedule for your individual class. You can also visit the Upcoming Classes page on our website that details the dates and hours of each class.

 

Is this an approved program by the AZ Board of Nursing?

CNA Arizona is an Arizona State Board of Nursing accredited CNA Program in Arizona. Our AZBN issued program code is 8911. We have been accredited since November 2009.

 

What is a CNA and what do they do?

CNA stands for certified nurse assistant. CNA’s are a vital part of the healthcare team. They are the eyes and ears of the healthcare team. They are responsible for direct patient care on many levels. Their job includes assisting with vital signs (measuring blood pressure, heart rate, etc), assisting with patients activities of daily living and many other important aspects of patient care.

Where can a CNA work?

CNA’s can work in virtually any healthcare setting including hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, hospice centers and in home health care.

How do I become a CNA?

In Arizona you must take a AZ State Board of Nursing accredited CNA course. CNA Arizona offers an accredited CNA class that consists of 80 hours in the classroom and 40 hours in the clinical setting. After completing our CNA course you must then take and pass the AZ Board of Nursing CNA Exam to obtain a Certificate for Nurse Assisting.

How much do CNA’s make?

According to the United States Bureau of Labor Pay rates vary dramatically based on where you live and what you do as a CNA. The mean annual wage was $24,980, which works out to about $12.01 per hour. This however is the just the midpoint in a large range. The bottom 10% in this field were earning about $8.42 per hour while the top 10% was earning more than $16 per hour. On average pay is pretty consistent for those working in the public sector as well as for those working for private companies.
